Singapore Airlines has taken out the top spot for Best Overall Cellar, as well as four other top gongs at Business Traveller’s Cellars in the Sky Awards.
When you’re somewhere 40,000 feet above ground – even in Business Class – sometimes all you need is a glass of wine to ease the plane-xiety. But not all airplane bars are created equal.
Singapore Airlines took out the top spot for Best Overall Cellar for Business Traveller’s 37th annual Cellars in the Sky Awards. It also took out four other gongs: Best Business Class Red, Best Business Class Cellar, Best Presented Business Class Wine List and Best Presented First Class Wine List. It also received six silver and bronze awards.
On the judging panel were Litmus Wines’ John Worontschak, award-winning wine blogger Helen McGinn, Masters of Wine Peter McCombie and Sarah Abbott, and head judge Charles Metcalfe, founder of the International Wine Challenge.
Singapore Airlines’ wine expert (and Master of Wine) Michael Hill Smith said taking out the spot was “no mean feat”.
