What Are Justin Baldoni’s Allegations About Taylor Swift?

Baldoni alleged in a court filing he was “summoned” to a meeting during the production of “It Ends With Us,” in which two people, whom he describes as “two of the most influential and wealthy celebrities in the world,” pressured him to accept Lively’s changes to the film’s script. Those celebrities “were not afraid to make things very difficult for him,” Baldoni’s lawyers alleged. The people referenced are believed to be Swift and Lively’s husband Ryan Reynolds, and court filings cite an alleged text message exchange in which Baldoni told Lively he liked the script edits and “would have felt that way without Ryan and Taylor.” In response, Lively allegedly said Reynolds and Swift are her “most trusted partners and the people I go to first with anything creative I touch,” and later described them as her “dragons” and said, “We all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine.” Swift has not yet commented publicly on the allegations.

Who Will Taylor Swift Bring To The Super Bowl?

It still remains to be seen who will be present with Swift at the Super Bowl, assuming she attends as expected. Potential names that have been floated include actress Selena Gomez, her fiance Benny Blanco and singer Sabrina Carpenter, though it’s ultimately unclear who will attend. In addition to Lively, Swift’s entourage at last year’s Super Bowl also included such celebrities as singers Ice Spice and Lana del Rey.

Key Background

Lively and Swift have been friends since 2015, and Reynolds has said Swift is the godmother to his and Lively’s daughters. The two were last publicly spotted out together in October, going out to dinner in New York City with Kelce and Reynolds. Lively’s legal battle against Baldoni began in December, as the actress filed a legal complaint with the California Civil Rights Department alleging sexual harassment, retaliation and inflicting emotional distress, among other allegations. She then filed a formal lawsuit in New York in December.

Baldoni has categorically denied the allegations against him and has fired back in court, first suing The New York Times in December for libel over the newspaper’s reporting of Lively’s allegations and then filing a lawsuit against Lively and Reynolds directly in January. The actor alleges Lively and Reynolds used Baldoni as a “scapegoat” to dodge negative publicity around “It Ends With Us” and falsely accused him of sexual harassment. Lively denies Baldoni’s claims.
