Custom Line’s new 164-foot-long flagship design has already won rave reviews and the shipyard in Ancona, Italy has robust customer demand for more. But the cool thing about the new all-aluminum Custom Line 50 shows that no one at the shipyard are resting on their laurels.
In fact, the since project is the result of collaboration between the yard’s Strategic Product Committee led by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard Engineering Department to build a lighter and more fuel-efficient 50 meter, it shows they’re committed to optimizing every aspect of this new model.
The hull built entirely from lightweight aluminum alloy was developed using Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to optimize hydrodynamic performance. The result is a sleek, efficient design that reduces drag, improves stability and increases overall performance, ensuring a smooth ride and low fuel consumption. And this new model is designed to minimize environmental impact thanks to her reduced weight, advanced hydrodynamics and the use of recyclable materials on board too.
As you’d expect from a yacht that has exteriors designed by architect Filippo Salvetti and project architecture and interiors that are made to measure are by Studio ACPV ARCHITECTS, the yacht is stylish, sophisticated and modern inside and out.
Like many yachts in this size range, the layout extends across four decks. However, several innovative construction and design solutions such as: the large owner’s suite in the bow on the upper deck and the beach club with infinity pool integrated into the main deck really stand out.
The exterior styling is timeless classical and clean. While the interiors feature innovative and refined use of materials such as textured Canaletto walnut cabinetry and copious large, curved windows that ensure a opens sence of space and spectacular views.
But when it comes to views, none can really compare with the 280 degree view the massive owner’s apartment has. The light-filled cabin’s floor-to-celling windows are impressive and the cabin’s sliding glass doors lead to an luxurious lounge furnished with sofas, sunbeds and lots of privacy.
The stairway and lift connect the various decks. The sky lounge features plenty of reflective surfaces that highlight the sense of openness. And the large comfy sofa that extends the entire length of the salon, and a 77-inch Bang & Olufsen TV contained in an elegant walnut and black aluminum unit provides killer audio performance when it comes time to “Netflix-n-chill.”
I’m not Italian but I will say this…Adoro questa barca.
