Introducing the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Worldtimer in two colours

Watches

Omega expands its Seamaster Planet Ocean collection with the introduction of the new Seamaster Planet Ocean Worldtimer, bringing the brand’s world time complication into a more robust, deep-diving ceramic case. Previously seen in the Aqua Terra lineup, this latest iteration takes the concept just a little further, combining mechanical watchmaking with a contemporary travel design.

At 45.5mm, the Planet Ocean Worldtimer follows the aesthetic of the Deep Black series, with a brushed ceramic case and a black ceramic bezel featuring a laser-ablated diving scale, polished in positive relief. While the watch is large, its fully integrated rubber strap should improve wearability on the wrist.

The most striking feature remains its world time display, implemented with a detailed depiction of Earth as seen from above the North Pole. Omega achieves this using a grade 5 titanium surface, laser-ablated for contrast and finished with varnish to bring out depth and texture.

Surrounding the globe is a 24-hour track split into night and day sections under hesalite glass, while the outer ring of the dial displays global cities for easy reference of multiple time zones—including Omega’s home of Bienne at GMT+1.

This release introduces two variations of the Planet Ocean Worldtimer, each offering a different style. One model leans into a more vibrant aesthetic, with turquoise varnish on the dial details and hands filled with white Super-LumiNova. It comes fitted with a black rubber strap accented with turquoise stitching.

The second model takes on a more muted appearance, featuring grey varnish with hands and indexes filled with Omega’s new grey Super-LumiNova, paired with a black rubber strap featuring a grey underside.

Beneath the display, Omega equips the Planet Ocean Worldtimer with the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8938. Certified by METAS, this movement ensures high levels of precision, magnetic resistance, and reliability. The watch is also water-resistant to an impressive 600 meters (60 bar), reinforcing its credentials as a serious dive watch with world time functionality.
