TripAdvisor just released its 2024 Travellers’ Choice Award for the world’s best beaches – and just one Australian foreshore has made the cut.
Much to many Australian beachgoers’ dismay, just one local shoreline has made the top 25 cut-off, with Manly taking out the seventh spot. Sorry Bondi.
Praia da Falesia in Portugal’s Algarve is the number one beach to add to your bucket list, according to the report, knocking off six-time champion Baia do Sancho in Brazil.
Claiming the silver spot, Italy’s Spiaggia dei Conigli on Lampedusa Island shines, followed by Spain’s La Concha Beach in San Sebastian with bronze, while Hawaii’s Kaanapali Beach emerges as the highest-ranked US beach, securing fourth place in the global top 25.
