One of the most highly anticipated sneaker drops has been and gone in just a matter of seconds. Nike and Tiffany & Co. announced its collaboration on several products in January, most notably the ‘1837’ Air Force 1 lows – they didn’t last long.
Love them or hate them, one thing is for certain. The 1837 Air Force 1 was not going to stay on the market for long. Sneakerheads from around the world frantically were frantically refreshing their cart last night in a bid to land the $500 collaboration from two of the world’s most iconic brands.
The shoe features a black outside and laces, with a silver plate on the heel bearing the Tiffany stamp and a 925 stamp indicating its sterling content. As might be initially expected when there is such an unusual collaboration between two giants coming from such different businesses, there have been very mixed reviews.
Tiffany & Co. and Nike previously worked together in 2014 when the jewellery company’s signature aqua colour was used in a Nike and Diamond Supply Co. pair of shoes.
This marks their first official collaboration. In the last few years, Tiffany has moved to attract a younger audience. In 2021, after being purchased by LVMH, it launched a campaign featuring the phrase “not your mother’s Tiffany,” and started featuring Beyoncé and Jay-Z as faces of the brand in the “About Love” campaigns.

On social media, Tiffany & Co. also posted pictures of a Nike and Tiffany branded sterling silver shoe horn, a shoe brush—which many on social media have confused as a toothbrush—and shoelaces, as well as a silver referee whistle, which will range in cost from US$250 to US$475.
