There’s nothing quite like a good brand collaboration to create a buzz amongst consumers – so when an ultra-luxury Australian resort teams up with an iconic Scottish distillery to offer an unprecedented whisky experience, what’s not to love?
From May 2023 until May 2026, Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley and The Macallan are offering whisky connoisseurs the opportunity to savour a wide range of single malts, including limited editions, rare expressions, new releases, and archival products from the resort’s exclusive ‘vault’.
To celebrate the launch, a select group were invited to witness the unveiling of The Macallan Lounge, a charming new suite designed by Clifford Rip from Suede Interior Design. The room was designed to pay homage to the nature and culture of both brands’ heritage and sustainability philosophies.
After landing via helicopter from Sydney – guests were treated to a sensorial journey tasting some of the most exquisite single malts, including the celebrated M Decanter – a bottle of which costs a cool $10,000.
Surrounded by stunning valley vistas, plush but earthy décor, the Lounge was delicately designed to immerse guests in the atmospheric Blue Mountains surroundings – the perfect place to settle in for an evening by the fireplace, and sip on the finest drop.
But what’s a collaboration without a pairing?
Complementing the whisky experience, Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley’s resident chef, Pitam Gurung has curated seasonal menus using locally sourced produce, including ingredients from their chef’s garden and specialties from local farmers and producers.

- The Macallan 5-course Whisky Pairing Dinner: Guests can take in the breathtaking views of Wolgan Valley while tucking a seasonal dinner menu exclusively tailored to pair with The Macallan’s whiskies.
