2024 Temporis Award Winners in the watch industry

Winners of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), the main awards program for the watch industry, will be announced in Geneva next week. In the meantime, another set of horological prizes, Temporis International Awards, have become predictors of GPHG winners, much like the Golden Globes foreshadow the Oscars in the film industry.

The Parmigiani Fleurer Toric Petite Seconde was awarded Watch of the Year 2024 by Temporis International Awards.

The De Bethune DB Kind of Grande Complication was awarded the Jury Prize by Temporis International Awards.

The 11th version of the annual Temporis International Awards was held October 25 in Zurich, awarding prizes in 14 categories. The top honor, Watch of the Year 2024, went to Parmigiani Fleurer for its Toric Petite Seconde, a classic three-hand with a small seconds subdial and Parmigiani’s signature knurled bezel.

The watch is also a strong contender in the Men’s category of next week’s GPHG. The Jury Prize, another top Temporis honor, was given to De Bethune’s DB Kind of Grande Complication, with functions that include hours, minutes, date, day, month, year, moon phases, power reserve indicator, jumping seconds, tourbillon and perpetual calendar.

The DB Kind of Grande Complication is up for a prize in the Men’s Complication category of the GPHG. Both top Temporis winners are also eligible for the top prize in the GPHG, the Aiguille d’Or or Grand Prix.

The IWC Portugieser Eternal Calendar was awarded Watches & Wonders Masterpiece 2024 and Best Complication Watch by Temporis International Awards.
