ResusRight’s mission is to revolutionise newborn delivery room resuscitation. Founded by two biomedical engineers, ResusRight has developed a low-cost monitoring system to help clinicians get newborn resuscitation right and reduce the numbers of babies who die or are left with a disability. The company received over US$700,000 in a funding round last year, after an $800,000 injection from the BioMedTech Horizons fund. Boustred and Crott’s (pictured) flagship tech, the Juno Monitor, is now in use in 30 hospitals and universities. The company is developing the Nemo monitor, which will show airway pressures and CO2 levels to the birth attendant while they are resuscitating a baby.
